Tisk, tisk.
So...naturally, I thought, "I should do a post packed with my quirks." You, my faithful readers, generally only get to hear about our fun outings, holidays, parties, and other on-goings of the Atwood group.
Here's to Hayley's confessions.
1- I cleaned my microwave today for the first time in MONTHS.
2- I NEVER wash my face before I go to bed.
3- I feed my daughter more dairy than veggies.
4- I don't buy soap (zest, dove, ivory,lever...etc.) In my efforts to be cheap-ola, my family uses hotel samples we save. Except of course Her Majesty, Avy. She gets the good stuff (Aveeno, Burt's Bees...etc). Heaven forbid she grows a 3rd arm before adult-hood thanks to all the parabens found in the other junk. Her beauty regime is WAY more expensive than mine, which leads us to #5...
5- My beauty regime consists of the cheapest stuff on the shelves at Target.
6- I've watched "My Big Redneck Wedding".........................3 times. My justification - when they're REAL rednecks, it is SHEER ENTERTAINMENT at its best.
7- I'm too cheap (I'm noticing a trend here) to pay to get my hair cut. After I do my hair in the morning I chop off any locks that aren't working that day. It's meant to be a threat to the other hairs.
8- At any given moment of the afternoon, you could likely find Cheerios or CinnaBunnies strewn about my floor.
9- I always graciously keep the address labels the sweet people at St. Jude & the Familes of the Disabled Firefighters of America send me, but never send them money in return.
10- Although I demand an orderly house, my bedroom closet is a nightmare. 9 out of 10 times something falls on my head whenever I open the doors. In fact, I've learned to squat and pose in the ready to catch position before I fling the doors open.
11- This little baby was completely full last week when my friend asked me to babysit it b/c her fridge was broken.
This is what it looked like last night.
You do the math.
Can you beat any of those?
Can you beat any of those?

Hayley -- That is the BEST post ever. Thanks for making me feel better about my life too! :) You are too cool. I love the one about chopping off locks of hair that are out of place that day . . . . ah, the joys of curly hair. . . it always looks great!
I think we can all beat that in our own weird ways.
I have sensitive skin, so it's the good stuff for me. Plus, I have a natural fro I work overtime to tame, so I also get the good stuff for my hair.
But I NEVER wash my face before bed. And as you know, I can't brush my teeth before I eat...even if I have to see all my besties right before we barge in and scare our poor friend @ 6 am. Mostly because I hate the taste of toothpaste..every time I brush, I dry heave a little.
See...not so weird after all, eh?
Gee, I wonder if Lance stole my laptop for his own selfish use when I went into the kitchen to get ice-cream? That was me, The Mostess.
Since Sista Atwood asked us to do the math with the cookie bucket. I just wanted to throw in that I had 5 cookies out of that whole bucket. They were silver dollar sized cookies because it was one last party before the dough ran out. Sista, you amaze me. This is funny stuff.
The Mostess, I was trying to figure out why Lance was talking about his sensitive skin on Hayley's blog. Thanks for clearing that up. Your comments are the best.
Pshaw! Lance's "skin care routine" is a million times pricier and more involved than mine. Just for the record.
I LOVE those "free" address labels! I hate writing out our address on envelopes so I graciously accept their labels. Plus, they're always so seasonable and cute!
Yeah, I don't wash my face either. Maybe that's why it looks the way it does.
You always make me smile! It is funny that we all end up thinking that we are the only ones that aren't perfect at this whole motherhood thing. I have a nice confession to add to your list. Last week, I was sitting at my computer blogging of course. I was too busy to notice that my little Ike was chomping on something. After I was done, I picked him up and I noticed a cricket leg on his chin. I forced his mouth open to find the rest of the cricket clear at the back of his throat. It was too far back to do anything about and so he swallowed it. Yeah was a mother of the year moment if I ever had one!
Yay Haylee! I love the honesty and your courage to share.
I actually wrote a list of 100 truths about me during the summer that was very much like this: http://macpeanut.wordpress.com/2008/06/28/100-truths/
I wanted people to know that I have my faults and insecurities too. It's hard not to read some people's blogs and see only how amazing their life/kids/spouse is sometimes. But the truth is, no one has a perfect life. On a blog, you only see what they want to share...
two words... you rock! Loved it!
I keep those address labels too. I love when they come in the mail. I'm too cheep to get my hair colored now that I've moved and so this is the first time Dan has ever seen my natural color...gross! And I wash my face with baby body wash because we got such a stock pile from the baby shower!
Get a chat wall so I can randomly comment... I want to talk about this marathon, and comments on your posts has NO place for this.
Dude, how can I get those free address labels with my name spelled correctly and my 3-year old new last name? Some of them are so stinking cute.
Thank you for not washing your face before bed. I don't know why that's the hardest chore I face every day but it sure is! MAYBE it happens one time a week. And I wonder why my skin sucks? hahahaha
Hayley- Even in your honesty- It still sounds glamorous! Maybe because I have been a witness to some of these things and I hve seen how it is either done or not done- You do things - Like cutting that random hair with such meticulaticy. Just like your dad. I won't even go into my confessions because you would probably throw up.
Two things: First, you saw my blog posting on Deodorant - enough said. Second, I have a love for patent leather which my friends say is shameful.
I am glad I am not the only one that doesn't clean their microwave til is unbearable!! I miss your sense of humor!! I absolutely loved this post!! Cudos
Hayley, I love your comments. I am sure you have gotten that a lot. I have friends that say they never like to read other peoples blogs because it makes them feel bad. I am guilty of not even reading the blogs and looking at the pictures. I just like to live day to day and be happy with what I have been given. Which in my case is the best life I think I could have.
Reading your blog is a breath of fresh air even if it is about your so called faults. You crack me up. You are so entertaining and RAW. Thanks for the laugh!! Love ya!!
